My hand-dyed thread pieces are inspired the land and seascapes of the Isle of Skye and, I hope, capture their essence in a controlled and precise technique. I carefully hand-dye my threads creating a personal palette and very accurately wrap the threads around wood that I have found and delicately shaped. It takes many hours to create a thread piece from start to finish and it’s a discipline that requires patience and I love being absorbed in it.
